So I've acquired this nice barrel from Boulevard and will be brewing this week. I've heard mixed reviews about if I should add some whiskey to the barrel prior to adding the beer. Meaning clean any bacteria with the whiskey, dump the whiskey and then add the beer.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
